Significado en español: es el lenguaje diseñado para sustituir al HTML. Su mejora pasa por separar el contenido de la forma en las páginas web. El código HTML contiene el contenido que se quiere transmitir, y la forma quedaría incluida en una hoja de estilo que va con la página. De esta manera, queda más estructurado.
